The purpose of this blog is to examine the above claim made by Pope Pius VII in his encyclical Diu Satis more than two hundred years ago that a great conspiracy had been set in motion to overthrow the Catholic Church and erase the teaching of Jesus Christ from human history.  Was that claim true?  Did such a conspiracy exist?  If so what was the history of the thing and what were its tactics?  And if it existed in the time of Pius VII, then does it still exist now?

The purpose of this blog is to examine historical evidence, as far as it can be known.  I will say at the outset that I do not wear a tin foil hat, that I am fairly certain that a weather balloon crashed at Roswell, and that John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald shooting from the sixth floor window of the Texas Book Depository using that old Italian rifle.  This is not a place to indulge in fantasy: the subject is far too important.

I am a Catholic layman who regularly attends the Mass according to the Missal of Blessed Pope Paul VI though occasionally I mix in the ancient Rite now known as the Extraordinary Form according to the 1962 Missal of Saint John XXIII offered by a priest who is in full Communion with the Roman Pontiff whose name at the time of writing is Francis; I was born into the generation that was brainwashed by Mtv into thinking that mind altering chemicals and sexual pleasure, however one manages to come by it, is the only way to tranquility.  I became interested in this subject as I watched the moral and social idiocy of men marrying men and women marrying women, an idea unheard of in all of the recorded history of man on this earth and unknown even among our pagan ancestors who wallowed in the darkness, spread like wildfire across the globe and with particular vehemence in the formerly Catholic world.

This insane idea, its seeming emergence from nowhere, its rapid spread, and in particular its usual method of implementation, save the recent referendum in Ireland largely carried by a massive influx of foreign money and influence, by non democratic means got me to thinking.  Combined with all of the other insane, destructive and anti Catholic policies that have been implemented by governments in the formerly Catholic world one on top of another, some slowly and incrementally and some with great violence, across the formerly Catholic world since 1789 I begin to smell a rat.

Sadly these destructive ideas, which can only lead to our own annihilation, now permeate the Church as well.  And the Mystical Body of Christ is suffering great pains and seems on the edge of death.  How did we get here?  Was this all just a natural development as we were taught in school?  Is this human progress, as Hilary Clinton and the Marquis de Condorcet would have us believe?  Or is this the greatest con job in recorded history?

Somebody needs to ask these questions.  I wish that it was somebody much more intelligent and much better qualified and who had much greater resources than myself.  But no one is doing it.  This is an important subject with a lot of historical evidence from distinguished sources to back up this claim.  It is not a joke.  We will not engage in outlandish fantasy here.  This is a serious subject for serious people.  The fate of our civilization and the salvation of many souls, not least yours and mine, may hang in the balance.

I very much hope that this website can be made a least a tiny first step in an effort that must come to pass to reclaim what has been stolen from us.

I therefore consecrate this website to place it under the protective mantle of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for I believe and am convinced that the day is coming when her banner and the banner of her divine Son will once more fly over the heap of ruins we have made for ourselves and restore the Catholic Church to life.  Please pray three Hail Marys in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and let’s get to work.

Very impressive. Keep it up. How far back do you intend to trace the roots of the Enlightenment, and its results ? Could one not say that the Church has always been buffeted by storms ? To put it another way: what makes the 18th century more critical than the Protestant revolt ?

Thank you for your comment. You are correct, of course, that the Church has been buffeted by storms since the day that our Lord ascended to heaven and will continue to be buffeted by storms until the day that He returns. The storm that has struck us the last 250 years seems to me to be a bit different though for a couple of reasons. First, it has almost entirely eliminated even the idea of a rational God from the mindset of such a large part of the human race, and this is something that the very pagans in their darkness would never have contemplated. Second, the enemies of the Church during the 16th century revolt largely left the Church and publicly split with her whereas the greatest enemies of the Catholic Church during the last 200 years have stayed within her structures and institutions, subtly infiltrating the clergy and the hierarchy and creating a lot of useful idiots to carry their water along the way. They only came out into the open after the most recent Council, but they had been there for a long time before.

The ideas of Protestantism laid the intellectual foundation for the destructive atheism that came out of the 18th century but whereas the Protestants acted publicly the atheists and destroyers of life who came out of the 18th century formed their ideas secretly and acted subtly and conspiratorially. They have always used subterfuge and deceit to cover their real intentions. The great common factor between the two is a hatred of authority. With the Protestants this hatred was largely confined to religious authority but with the murderous ‘philosophers’ of the 18th century this hatred spread from religion to politics to social to family life and we are living with through its culmination at this point. To the point where some men are not even sure at all whether or not they are a man or a woman. This is the consequence of the insanity that came out of that horrid century.

Probably about 1750 is as far back as we can go. Before that nothing was public. It was all working in a den somewhere. The devil was whispering fantastic promises in somebody’s ear, but who it was we will likely not know. Thank you again.
